The Role

We are looking for a Senior Scientist who can translate scientific ideas into real-world, scalable products. This role sits at the intersection of agriculture, food science, and biotechnology, with a strong emphasis on commercialization and impact.

You will lead R&D from concept → validation → pilot → market, driving innovation that directly improves sustainability, yield, and efficiency.

  • PhD in:
    • Agriculture / Agronomy.
    • Food Science / Food Technology.
    • Biotechnology / Microbiology / Soil Science.
  • 3–5+ years in applied R&D (agri/food/biotech).
  • Experience in:
    • Product development & commercialization.
    • Field trials and validation.
    • Patents or publications.

Research & Innovation

  • Lead R&D in:
    • Sustainable agriculture systems.
    • Soil health, biofertilizers, biostimulants.
    • Circular bioeconomy & waste-to-value.
    • Food processing & functional ingredients.
  • Design experiments, field trials, and pilot studies.
  • Generate IP (patents, publications).

Product Development

  • Convert research into commercial-ready products.
  • Develop bio-based agri-inputs and food-grade materials.
  • Optimize for scalability and cost efficiency.

Collaboration

  • Work with cross-functional teams (R&D, engineering, business.
  • Build partnerships with universities, agri-institutions, and industry.

Regulatory & Quality

  • Ensure compliance with food and agri regulations (e.g., FSSAI, Codex).
  • Lead documentation and approvals.

Leadership

  • Mentor junior scientists.
  • Contribute to R&D strategy and external representation.

  • Biofertilizers / microbial technologies.
  • Circular economy / waste valorization.
  • Food processing technologies.
  • Strong project management & leadership skills.

  • 1–2 products launched annually.
  • 1–2 patents filed per year.
  • ≥85–90% pilot success rate.
  • Measurable impact on yield, cost, or sustainability.
