The Role

We are seeking a Research Scientist – Bioenergy and Sustainable Fuel to drive R&D programs from concept to application. The role involves translating scientific ideas into scalable products and technologies with commercial and societal impact.

  • PhD in:
    • Chemical Engineering
    • Energy, Bioenergy
    • Chemistry, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in energy, fuels, or process R&D.
  • Strong expertise in biofuels, waste-to-energy, catalysis, or hydrogen systems.
  • Proven experience in process development, pilot plants, or industrial scale-up.
  • Hands-on, execution-driven mindset with focus on real-world deployment.

  • Lead R&D from concept → pilot → commercialization.
  • Design and optimize processes for yield, efficiency, and cost.
  • Develop and scale pilot plants / demo systems.
  • Drive techno-economic analysis and scale-up strategy.
  • Translate R&D into commercial fuel products and energy systems.
  • Develop IP (patents, proprietary technologies).
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, EPC partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with fuel standards and sustainability metrics (LCA, emissions).
  • Mentor junior scientists.

  • Biofuels (biodiesel, ethanol, SAF, green diesel, CBG).
  • Waste-to-energy (biogas, pyrolysis, gasification).
  • Green fuels (hydrogen, synthetic fuels).
  • Catalysis and energy-related chemical processes.
