The Role

We are seeking a Research Scientist – Materials / Biomaterials who can translate innovations into scalable, real-world material solutions.

(lab → prototype → industrial application).

  • PhD in:
    • Materials Science
    • Polymer Science
    • Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in materials / biomaterials R&D.
  • Strong expertise in material synthesis, characterization, and product development.
  • Experience in:
    • Prototype development.
    • Pilot scale-up.
    • industrial applications.
  • Hands-on, execution-driven mindset focused on real-world deployment.

  • Lead R&D from material design → prototype → scale-up.
  • Develop and optimize materials for performance, cost, and manufacturability.
  • Design and execute material synthesis, characterization, and testing.
  • Build and scale pilot production processes.
  • Drive techno-economic analysis and application validation.
  • Develop IP (patents, proprietary materials).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, industry partners).
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and sustainability standards (LCA).
  • Mentor junior scientists.

  • Biomaterials, biopolymers, and biodegradable materials.
  • Advanced materials (coatings, composites, functional materials).
  • Waste-to-material and circular material systems.
  • Sustainable alternatives to conventional materials.
